Tools guide hub

Tools are at the center of Clean Your Keycaps. The official Roblox description tells players to upgrade sponges and soap to clean faster. Roblox’s public catalogs also expose a 2x Clean Speed gamepass and many named sponge and soap developer products. That makes the tool families reliable topics, but the catalogs do not publish their stats, ordinary unlock order, or best uses.

Use this hub to identify the tool question you actually have, read the current in-game preview, and test one variable at a time. A decorative name is not a stat, and a Robux product is not automatically the normal progression route.

Evidence status: Sponge and soap upgrade roles are Official through the game description. Listed names are Official commerce entries. Size, area, capacity, speed, acquisition, earned prices, ordering, and ranking need in-game testing.

Choose a tool guide

Open the Sponge Index to see every named sponge currently exposed through the official developer-product catalog: Bigger, Circle, Watermelon, Popsicle, Pawprint, Spikey, 24K Gold, Keycap, Cloud, Dumpling, 67, Butter, and Rainbow. The index does not invent a tier list.

Use the Soap Guide to separate normal soap upgrades from Refill Soap, Unlock Soap, and GOLDEN Soap product prompts. It focuses on access, capacity, consumption, interruptions, and safe comparisons.

Use Clean Speed to test the full-cycle effect of a sponge upgrade, soap change, 2x Clean Speed pass, or other speed claim. It prevents a faster animation from being mistaken for a faster complete placement loop.

Understand the tool loop

A keycap must be scrubbed, rinsed, polished, and placed. A sponge is logically associated with cleaning, and soap is named as another upgrade path, but the official text does not assign each tool to a precise stage. Follow the current live prompt.

Record the active sponge and soap state before a run. Complete several caps from first interaction through placement. Note which stage takes longest and whether soap causes a refill or access interruption.

Change one tool or one upgrade. Repeat the same route. If the full cycle improves, the change has practical value for that setup. If only one animation changes while total time stays similar, movement, another station, or placement may now be the bottleneck.

Officially named sponge catalog

Roblox exposes the following developer-product names at the checkpoint:

  • Bigger Sponge
  • Circle Sponge
  • Watermelon Sponge
  • Popsicle Sponge
  • Pawprint Sponge
  • Spikey Sponge
  • 24K Gold Sponge
  • Keycap Sponge
  • Cloud Sponge
  • Dumpling Sponge
  • 67 Sponge!
  • Butter Sponge
  • Rainbow Sponge

These names can be used for exact-name searches and catalog verification. They cannot be safely sorted by strength. Creation order is also not a gameplay tier order: catalog entries can be created for testing, monetization, or a later release.

If the normal in-game menu shows the same name, record its earned path separately. Do not claim that a developer product is the only way to obtain it unless the game says so.

Soap decisions

The official description names soap without explaining its resource model. The product catalog includes Refill Soap, Unlock Soap, and GOLDEN Soap. Those names suggest refill, access, and special-soap concepts but do not prove capacity, duration, or effects.

To test soap, count complete caps from a known state until the next soap-related interruption. Record what the refill changes and whether a normal earned option exists. Then compare the same setup after one normal upgrade.

Never convert GOLDEN Soap into a speed, capacity, or income claim from the name alone. Gold-themed tools often look premium, but appearance is not a mechanic.

Clean speed versus total speed

The 2x Clean Speed gamepass name verifies a multiplier concept. It does not define whether the multiplier applies to scrub, rinse, polish, all three, or a displayed stat. It also does not say how it stacks with sponge and soap upgrades.

Time complete caps. Keep Worker count, route, Rebirth state, Weather, server effects, and other purchases constant. Compare several trials because one missed station can erase the difference.

If the game has a visible clean-speed stat, capture it. A displayed doubled value is useful evidence; a real full-cycle comparison tells you how much session time the pass saves.

Earned upgrades versus Robux products

The normal path described by the developer is to place caps for money and upgrade sponges and soap. Roblox product prompts are optional commerce. Keep those paths distinct in every guide and personal measurement.

Before buying, read the prompt’s product type, current price, effect description, and repeatability. The public product descriptions reviewed for many entries are empty, so the name may be all that is visible outside the game.

Close an unclear prompt and inspect the earned-money menu. A product called Unlock Soap suggests a shortcut, not the verified normal requirement. A named sponge product does not prove that the sponge lacks an earned route.

Tool comparison checklist

  1. Record active sponge and soap.
  2. Record earned upgrade levels shown by the game.
  3. Keep passes, Workers, Rebirth, Weather, and server effects fixed.
  4. Complete at least three full caps through placement.
  5. Note time per stage, failures, and soap interruptions.
  6. Change one tool variable.
  7. Repeat the same route.
  8. Compare successful placements per session and the live upgrade cost.

Use the result for your account rather than publishing it as a universal ranking. Updates can rebalance tools.

Tool mistakes

  • Ranking sponges from product price or creation order.
  • Assuming “Bigger” means wider area or “Gold” means higher income.
  • Timing only scrub and ignoring the full route.
  • Testing a sponge while changing soap and Worker speed at the same time.
  • Treating a Robux product as proof of the free unlock.
  • Publishing a 2x pass result without controlling other upgrades.

Tools FAQ

What tools can you upgrade?

The official description explicitly names sponges and soap.

What is the best sponge?

No public official stats support a best-sponge ranking. Compare current live previews and full-cycle performance.

What does soap do?

Soap is an official upgrade family, but exact capacity, consumption, stages affected, and normal unlock need testing.

Does 2x Clean Speed stack with tools?

The public pass name does not document stacking. Test the current game with one variable changed.

Are the named sponges free?

They appear as developer products. A separate normal acquisition path must be verified in the live game rather than assumed.
